APL. Pyunik and Noah secure three points

In matchday 2 of the Armenian Premier League, Pyunik scored three unanswered goals against Van at home. Iasonas Pikis and Karlen Hovhannisyan found the net for the Yerevan-based side in the first half.

Gevorg Tarakhchyan sealed Pyunik’s victory in the second half. The 24-year-old has now scored in two consecutive matches. Following the game, Artak Oseyan’s side are fourth with four points. Van remain winless and sit at the bottom of the table.

Noah earned three points in a hard-fought encounter. Sandro Perkovic’s side defeated Shirak 4:3 away from home. Helder Ferreira scored twice, while Marin Jakolis and Gor Manvelyan scored once each.

For the Gyumri-based side, Grigor Ghumashyan and Sergey Manukyan found the net, while Sergey Muradyan scored an own goal.

Noah are top of the table with six points. Sardarapad and Ararat-Armenia also have six points. Shirak have one point and share seventh place with BKMA and Urartu.
