The second round of the Armenian Premier League has kicked off.
In the central match, reigning champions Ararat-Armenia defeated Urartu 2:1, securing their second consecutive victory.
The teams exchanged one goal each in the first half. In the 21st minute, Alioune Ndour opened the scoring. Minutes later, Miguel Rajani Cardoso equalized for the visitors. Nine minutes before the final whistle, Bernardo Oliveira Dias secured the victory for Manuel Tulipa’s side.
Meanwhile, Ararat and Sardarapati faced each other.
The newcomers also celebrated their second consecutive victory. Levon Vardanyan and Levon Petrosyan scored for Sardarapati. Varazdat Haroyan scored Ararat’s only goal. It was the 33-year-old defender’s first goal contribution for his new team.
