Ararat-Armenia eliminated from Champions League qualifying

Armenian reigning champions Ararat-Armenia have ended their Champions League campaign. In the second leg of the third qualifying round, Manuel Tulipa’s side suffered a 0:2 defeat away to Celje.

Yaya Dukuly opened the scoring in the 83rd minute. Two minutes later, Benjamin Verbič secured the final victory for his team. Thus, Ararat-Armenia lost the tie 2:3 on aggregate and will continue their European campaign in the Europa League play-off round.

There, Ararat-Armenia will face the winner of the KuPS - Universitatea Craiova tie.
