Yerevan derby. Pyunik beat Ararat-Armenia

The central match of matchday 5 of the Armenian Premier League took place at the FFA Technical Center/Football Academy, with Pyunik facing Ararat-Armenia.

In a tense encounter, the advantage went to the maroon side, who won 2:1. In the 16th minute, Daniil Kulikov opened the scoring. In the 32-nd minute, Gevorg Tarakhchyan doubled Pyunik’s lead. The Armenian footballer scored his fourth goal of the current season.

In the 67th minute, Carlos França scored Ararat-Armenia’s consolation goal. Thanks to the victory, Artak Oseyan’s side moved to 10 points and share second place with Sardarapat, Ararat-Armenia and Alashkert.
