Sardarapat beat Syunik

In round 5 of the Armenian Premier League, Sardarapat defeated Syunik 3:1, extending their unbeaten run in the current season.

Levon Vardanyan scored twice, while Sergey Kochkalyan added one more goal. Syunik’s only goal was scored from the penalty spot by Miguel Silva.

Both teams finished the match with 10 players. In the 38th minute, Syunik player Arsen Galstyan was sent off. In first-half stoppage time, Sardarapat also received a red card, with Christ Yan Lago being dismissed.

Thanks to the victory, Alexander Torres’ side moved to 10 points, level with Alashkert. Unlike their rivals, however, Sardarapat have played one match fewer.

Syunik remain at the bottom of the standings together with Van, with one point.
