Ararat-Armenia and Ararat earn three points

Armenian champion Ararat-Armenia defeated Shirak 3։1 away from home in the final match of matchday 8.

In the 18th minute, Shirak's Suren Tsarukyan scored an own goal. Five minutes later, Julio Bueno doubled the Yerevan-based side's advantage.

Ten minutes later, Carlos França extended his team's lead. In the second half, Narek Janoyan scored Shirak's consolation goal.

Manuel Tulipa's side moved to 19 points and continue to chase league leaders Noah. Shirak are seventh with 10 points.


In the other match of the day, Ararat secured a narrow 1:0 away victory over Syunik in Sisian. The only goal of the match was scored by Sindou Bakayoko in the second half.

Ararat are eighth with nine points, while Syunik remain at the bottom of the standings with two points.
