UEFA Champions League first qualifying round. Ararat-Armenia beat Riga

Armenian Premier League champions Ararat-Armenia got off to a winning start in the UEFA Champions League first qualifying round.

Manuel Tulipa's side secured a 2:0 home victory over Riga. Hugo Oliveira opened the scoring in the 63rd minute, while Carlos Henrique Franca Freires doubled the Yerevan club's advantage in the 86th minute.

The second leg will be played in Latvia on July 14.
